لاہور: (13 اگست 2024) پاکستان کے مایہ ناز ایتھلیٹ ارشد ندیم، جو حال ہی میں بین الاقوامی مقابلے میں طلائی تمغہ جیتنے میں کامیاب ہوئے، کو وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز کی جانب سے ایک کروڑ روپے کا چیک اور ایک کار تحفے میں دی گئی۔ارشد ندیم نے جویلین تھرو کے عالمی مقابلے میں پاکستان کا نام روشن کرتے ہوئے پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی تھی۔ اس موقع پر وزیرِ اعلیٰ مریم نواز نے ان کی شاندار کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ارشد ندیم کی محنت اور لگن نوجوانوں کے لیے ایک مثال ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت پنجاب ارشد ندیم جیسے باصلاحیت کھلاڑیوں کی مکمل سرپرستی کرے گی اور مستقبل میں بھی ان کی کامیابیوں کے لیے ہر ممکن اقدامات کیے جائیں گے۔ ارشد ندیم نے وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حکومت کی حوصلہ افزائی ان کے لیے مزید محنت کرنے کی تحریک دے گی۔
